Imagine the Creator as a stand up commedian - and at once the world becomes explicable.
H. L. Mencken

I'm not sure when the next distraction is going to take place, but it's becoming apparent, as apparent as 2002 that the next "phase" in the war on terror is going to take place in Iran. Rumblings out of Europe indicate that an invasion of that country is already being staged, to take place by the fall.

I suspect, if the questions of domestic policy start getting a little to prying, a new distraction will be needed, in order to quiet any uncomfortable questions.

How long will this go on for? Will we go through this waxing and waning of public opinion through another war? When will people realize that we're at the start of a new empire, one that doesn't allow any country to fall outside of the fold. Much like the Roman Empire, allowing the provinces to do their thing, until they piss off the Caesar, then down comes the hammer.
